Why has G&G's website a black
background?
As you can see, our Website is with a nearly
complete black background.
The reason for this is not to attract
attention, but simply to save power!
Since the publication of our first Website in
2001 with a black
background, we have saved about 700 Kwh of
energy.
We are surprised, that despite all the
discussions about climate
change and energy saving, there are only a few
"environmentally
friendly" websites.
Do you know that, if the Google search engine
was using a black
background, this would results in a worldwide saving of
at least
1250 megawatts per year?
G&G will be continuously searching for
solutions to save the environment, which also leads directly to a reduction in
costs for our customers.
